Otavio T. Ranzani, Mervyn Singer et el released the new SOFA 2 score. It updated variables like spo2 instead of PaO2. Also added new variables like vasopressors to the cardiovascular score. Although proposed, the addition of gastrointestinal and immune domains was not included in the final version due to insufficient correlation with outcomes in internal validation.
